    Storyboard Competition

    Another competition for the children this year, it's an exciting one and you can get started right now.

    Create your own storyboard for a film and submit to Winkworths by 1st July.

    All entries will be judged by a TV cameraman and prizes awarded at the Fete

    Sing a Long a Frozen

    To kick start Carnival Week come to the FROZEN SING-A-LONG.

    Join in with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven and sing your hearts out, fancy dress optional.

    Frozen screening to be shown in the church rooms from 4.30.

    Free admission.

    Garage Sales

    Do you have unwanted items that you want to sell? Do you want to grab some great bargains? Then Sway Carnival Garage sales is the place to be!

    A map of the houses taking part in the garage sale is available from Sway Youth Centre on the day between 8:30 - 11:00

    Cruse Missile and Alarum Excursions

    Walking Treasure Hunt

    Come and join us on the Carnival Walking Treasure Hunt.

    Start time: between 2pm & 3pm from the Hare and Hounds. 

    Entry £1.50 per person.

    Magical Family Fun

    An afternoon of balloons and magical fun with Mr Colours on the Village Hall Green (in Village Hall if wet).

    Try your luck at Ferret Roulette.

    There will also be face painting, lucky dip and lawn games.

    Carnival 5 Mile Run

    Can you complete the legendary Sway Carnival 5-Mile Run? Starting at Wilverley Plain  at 10:30 am the entry fee is £10, or £8 for running club members. There's also a Children's Fun Run for the younger runners!

    Childrens Fun Run

    The fun starts at Wilverley Plain on Sunday 2nd July at 9:45 am. There are prizes for all age groups so come and have a go. Sign up is on the day - Entry is £1, and under 5s must be accompanied.

    The age groups are Under 7 years old, 7-11 years old, and over 11s

    The prize giving finishes in time for the start of the adult Carnival run.

    Childrens Disco

    Get your best dancing shoes on for the Children's Disco at  Sway Village Hall. There'll be great music plus games and prizes. The disco starts at  4pm until  6pm and entry is  £2, which includes a hotdog. Other refreshments will be available (Under 8s must be accompanied).

    Historic Walk

    Are you interested in the history of Sway? Join us for a walk around the village to learn all about Sway's colourful past. Leading the walk will be local historian  Tony Blakeley .

    The walk will last approximately 90 minutes, and will start at St Lukes Church at 6:30PM and end at the Silver Hind where refreshments and live music will be available.  

    This event is free but donations will be gratefully accepted on the day.

    The famous Sway Carnival Beetle Drive returns for another year of fun and laughter.

    Start time 6.30; at the Church Rooms.

    Quiz Night

    The  Hare and Hounds is the venue for one of our most popular events, the Carnival Quiz. How's your general knowledge? Know a few facts about the local area? Why not put together a team of your friends and have a go. Starts at  8pm, entry is  £1 per person.

    Procession and after show party

    Come and join in or simply watch the procession on its route from the Village Hall to Jubilee Field.

    How much change can you find in your pockets to fill up the kiddies collection buckets.

    Refreshments (ice creams, burgers, street food, and drinks ) will be available at venues en-route and at the Jubilee Field.

    Clockwork Carousel will play at the Silver Hind while the Marching Band and DJ will entertain at the after show party at Jubilee Field.

    Village Fete & Fun Dog Show

    The Village Fete is at Jubilee Field from 11am on. Come along to see quality craft and tabletop stalls, Maypole Dancing & Shirini Kempo.

    There's also the Fun Dog Show and a display of Classic Cars & Bikes

    Delicious WI Cream Teas; Hog Roast with musical accompaniment.

    Entry is £1, children get in free.

    Wine and Cheese Tasting Evening

    Back by popular demand: Join us for an evening of wine and cheese tasting.

    Professional wine commentary by Marco Nardi, Head Sommelier at Chewton Glen and an expert cheese narrative by Jon Broomfield, Judge and Cheese Advisor to Waitrose.

    Tickets £12.50 from Hairsway (available from mid June)
