  • Carnival Update

Plans for Carnival week are now well underway. This year we are kicking off the week with the Walking Treasure Hunt on the Friday evening (June 29th) – starting at the Hare and Hounds any time between 5.30 and 6.30 and finishing back there, hopefully in record time !!

There is a new venue for the Family Fun Day on Sunday 1st July. This year it will be on the Village Hall Green and if wet in the Village Hall. The format will be similar to last year with Mr. Colour, tea and cakes, face painting, Pimms, lucky dip and ferrets.

Following on from its previous success the Cheese and Wine evening is back for its third year – and this year we are very pleased that the wine expert is a very local wine producer – Tim Phillips and the cheese specialist is our old favourite Jon Broomfield who has shared his expertise with us every year so far.

The After Procession party is going to be bigger and better this year with a variety of live music and plenty of food. Finally, don’t forget, now is the time to start sorting out your items for the Garage Sale and planning your scarecrow.

Once again Sway will be having a great Carnival Week and we look forward to seeing you all.
